Chairs Made in Our Classes - Sack Back -* The Sack Back is the best recognized of all Windsor chairs. This one is a composite of several antique New England Sack Backs. Its oval seat is wider than it is deep. Height: 37 ½" Width: 24" Depth: 21 ½" * This is the required first class as this chair involves the information common to all our other chairs. - Continuous Arm - This chair is a copy of an antique Connecticut Continuous Arm. It's shield shaped seat is narrower than a Sack Back's but it is also deeper. Height: 37 ½" Width: 23" Depth: 24" - New York City Bow Back Side Chair - This chair is a copy of a New York City original. It is an ideal side chair for use with both the Sack Back and Continuous Arm chairs. Height: 37 ½" Width: 20" Depth: 22 ½" - Sack Back Settee - The Settee is an ideal chair for a hall, front porch or in front of a fireplace. Height: 37 ½" Width: 42" Depth: 21 ½" - Sack Back Rocking Chair - We offer this chair as pictured with a secondary comb functioning as a head rest. Height: 45" Width: 24" Depth: 34 ½" - Philadelphia Low Back Settee - This low back settee is an elegant piece for in front of a fireplace, in a hall, or an office. Height: 30" Width: 46" Depth: 19" - High Back Writing Arm - This functional chair can be used for writing, working or eating and is available in right and left handed versions. Height: 43" Width: 33" Depth: 31" - Nantucket Fan Back Arm Chair - This style of chair was popular in coastal Massachusetts. This example is based on an original at Winterthur. It is an easy-chair as opposed to one for dining. Height: 44" Width: 31" Depth: 26 ½" - Philadelphia High Back Arm Chair - This very comfortable arm chair is good for use at the head of the table or as an easy chair. Height: 46" Width: 26" Depth: 27" - Boston Fan Back Side Chair - Around a table this chair is an excellent companion to the Nantcuket Fan Back Arm Chair. Height: 37" Width: 28" Depth: 21" - Balloon Back Side Chair - This chair is based on a popular Boston design closely associated with the partnership of Seaver and Frost. It introduces students to the crinoline stretcher. In the class each student makes two chairs. Height: 38 ½" Width: 20" Depth: 19 ½" - Childs Sack Back -§ A smaller version of our famous Sack Back chair, will accomodate a toddler up to the age of 8. Height: 28 ½" Width: 19 ½" Depth: 17" - Youth High Chair -§ While not designed for infants, our Youth High Chair is perfect for toddlers up to the age of 8. Our childrens chairs are also a favorite of doll collectors. Height: 38" Width: 19 ½" Depth: 24" § - Make both chairs in our "Two Kids Chairs" class.
