Chairs Made in Our Classes

Sack Back
- Sack Back -*
The Sack Back is the best recognized of all Windsor chairs. This one is a composite of several antique New England Sack Backs. Its oval seat is wider than it is deep.

* This is the required first class as this chair involves the information common to all our other chairs.

Continuous Arm
- Continuous Arm -
This chair is a copy of an antique Connecticut Continuous Arm. It's shield shaped seat is narrower than a Sack Back's but it is also deeper.

Side Chair
- New York City Bow Back Side Chair -
This chair is a copy of a New York City original. It is an ideal side chair for use with both the Sack Back and Continuous Arm chairs.

The Settee is an ideal chair for a hall, front porch or in front of a fireplace.

We offer this chair as pictured with a secondary comb functioning as a head rest.

This low back settee is an elegant piece for in front of a fireplace, in a hall, or an office.

This functional chair can be used for writing, working or eating and is available in right and left handed versions.

Nantucket Fan Back
- Nantucket Fan Back Arm Chair -
This style of chair was popular in coastal Massachusetts. This example is based on an original at Winterthur. It is an easy-chair as opposed to one for dining.

Philadelphia High Back
- Philadelphia High Back Arm Chair -
This very comfortable arm chair is good for use at the head of the table or as an easy chair.

Around a table this chair is an excellent companion to the Nantcuket Fan Back Arm Chair.

This chair is based on a popular Boston design closely associated with the partnership of Seaver and Frost. It introduces students to the crinoline stretcher. In the class each student makes two chairs.

Childs Sack Back
- Childs Sack Back -§
A smaller version of our famous Sack Back chair, will accomodate a toddler up to the age of 8.

- Youth High Chair -§
While not designed for infants, our Youth High Chair is perfect for toddlers up to the age of 8. Our childrens chairs are also a favorite of doll collectors.
